Scouts’ Saint George’s Day Service
On the afternoon of Sunday 21st April scouts, cubs and beavers from all over the locality celebrated Saint George’s day by parading around the town, led by a band, and processing to Holy Trinity church for their annual service of thanksgiving and renewal of promises. Joan Elliott (1926-2013)
The church was saddened to learn of the death of Joan Evelyn Elliott who passed peacefully away at her home on 8th March at the age of 87 following her deteriorating health. Born in London in 1926, she was evacuated to Henley at the beginning of the war and later was joined in Henley by her mother. They went to live in Park Road which was to remain Joan’s home for the rest of her life...
Produce Stall
A Produce Sale was held in Holy Trinity church after the Sunday morning service on 3rd March. As usual a variety of delectable home-made produce was on sale including cakes, confectionary, marmalades and jams also Easter cards, floral decorations and plants. Once more we thank Valarie Morgan for all her steadfast efforts in organising the sale. The proceeds, which amounted to £63, will go to church funds. Thank you to all who contributed to the sale...
