Produce Stall

Produce Stall

A Produce Sale was held in Holy Trinity church after the Sunday morning service on 3rd March. As usual a variety of delectable home-made produce was on sale including cakes, confectionary, marmalades and jams also Easter cards, floral decorations and plants. Once more we thank Valarie Morgan for all her steadfast efforts in organising the sale. The proceeds, which amounted to £63, will go to church funds. Thank you to all who contributed to the sale.

Michael’s Special Birthday

At the morning service on Sunday 24th February our Licenced Lay Preacher, Michael Forsdike was presented with a bottle of whisky, not only to mark the occasion of his recent notable birthday, but also as a gesture of our appreciation of his continuing ministry here with us. If you are wondering how young Michael still is, he still has some way to go before his old-age pension becomes payable, but he says that he can now get a third off coach travel. We hope that his journeys will continue to bring him to Holy Trinity church for many years to come.

David Pinnington’s Memorial Service

David Pinnington’s Memorial Service

A memorial service took place at Holy Trinity church on Friday 1st March for David Pinnington who died on 15th January aged 37, following a long illness with which he coped in his unremitting stride. David was a well-known and popular sports enthusiast and ski instructor and had built up a large following during his career. The church was packed to full capacity at his memorial service and tributes were given in his memory by his friends and members of his family. David moved to Henley three years ago with his wife Melanie and two young sons Toby and Henry. At Sunday morning services David was always a pleasure to talk to and he will be sadly missed.

Mothering Sunday

Posies of spring flowers were presented to mothers in church on Sunday 10th March during the morning service.
