Harvest Festival 2013

Holy Trinity church celebrated Harvest Festival this year on Sunday 6th October. The interior of the church was attractively decorated with many colourful flower displays arranged by our church flower ladies. Cream Teas for an Awaited Prince

On the afternoon of 20th July cream teas were served at tables set out in the lower churchyard to celebrate the awaited arrival of the royal baby. However, it was to be another two days before the Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to a son, who has since been named George Alexander Louis who is Prince of Cambridge. Many people called in to enjoy a cream tea during the course of the afternoon and the weather stayed fine. The celebration was organised by Simon and Sarah Cook and we thank them together with all their helpers and contributors for providing such a delightful and successful event...


Parish Jottings - August 2013

Church Barbecue

On 28th June over thirty people were present at the church barbecue. It was intended to take place in the picturesque setting of the vicarage garden, but due to inclement weather, the church nave aptly became the substitute venue. Nevertheless, we still had the barbecue, which was set up outside the church entrance under a canopy. There was no complaint about the barbecued food, which comprised a selection of different types of meat, so we give our compliments to the chefs. Additionally there was a variety of supplementary food, most of it brought by church members, and to finish with we were treated to a mouth-watering choice of delectable desert dishes...
