Carols and mince pies

The sound of carols being sung rang out from a packed parish Room on the evening of Saturday 13th December, when voices joined together in a pre-Christmastide gathering. Later during the evening, refreshments were served to quench the vocalist's thirst and enjoy a variety of traditional mince pies and other delicacies...

Churchyard clean-up

Saturday 18th October was the day of our autumn churchyard clean-up. It turned out to be a fine morning in Henley although rain was falling in nearby districts. A group of willing workers laboured throughout the morning around the churchyard tidying up graves, pruning shrubs, removing ivy from trees and walls and clearing areas of brambles. A coffee break was allowed and by lunchtime the churchyard looked noticeably better after its morning of maintenance...

Harvest Festival Lunch 2014

Our Harvest Festival service this year was held on the morning of Sunday 5th October. At the service the Reverend Duncan Carter gave a talk based on the ‘Parable of the Rich Fool’. Duncan emphasised that we must put more of our trust in God who will provide for our needs and that we must not be so concerned with piling up riches for ourselves...
