Holy Trinity church’s Annual Church Meetings took place on Sunday 22nd April following the morning service. About 35 churchgoers attended the meetings which were chaired by Duncan Carter. At the first meeting, the ‘Meeting of Parishioners’, Barbara Williams was re-elected for yet a further term of office as a churchwarden; this will be her 11th year in office. Michael Forsdike was also re-elected as a churchwarden, this time for his fifth year of office.

At the ‘Annual Parochial Church Meeting’, the chairman reported that the current church Electoral Roll was 57; Peter Jones was re-elected to be the Electoral Roll Officer for another year. Churchwarden Barbara Williams reported that the church buildings and churchyard remain in good order, and that during the past year, essential maintenance and repairs had been carried out.

For further details, see the Holy Trinity church’s Parochial Church Council’s Annual Report for 2017-18, copies of which are available in church.

Church Heaters

A further three heaters have been installed in the church. These will supplement the original fifteen, which proved to be inadequate during the very cold wintry weather.

Duncan’s Birthday Celebration

After the morning service on Sunday 13th May, Duncan invited us to share his 60th birthday celebration with wine and cake. Duncan was Instituted and Inducted as our vicar on 26th November 1990, almost 28 years ago. Since then, Duncan has led the Holy Trinity church family through many events. Duncan’s initial task in 1990 was to raise funds for the church roof repairs. The church’s latest undertaking is the launching of the “Trinity at 4” project to encourage more local families to play an active part in church life.
