Mothering Sunday Posies

In the Parish Room on Saturday 29th March a team of flower ladies prepared baskets of posies for distribution at the morning service the following day on Mothering Sunday. We thank Mary Burton, Ruth Forster, Maureen George and Valerie Morgan for their commendable artistic work which received many compliments.

Trinity School Easter Service

Trinity School Easter Service

The Trinity School Easter Service was held on Friday 4th April. Prior to the event, the schoolchildren had been occupied preparing a number of colourful and picturesque collages which were displayed in church.

Annual Church Meetings

Our Annual Church Meetings took place after the morning service on Sunday 6th April when some 30 parishioners were present. The vicar, the Reverend Duncan Carter, chaired the meetings and elections were held for church officials. The vicar reviewed the Annual Report and thanked everyone concerned for their efforts in making the past year another successful one. Although the church’s overall income has fallen in recent years, it was only the Parish Share which we were unable to pay in full.

After the meeting, lunch was served at tables in the south aisle.
