Good Works

Good Works

Holy Trinity’s “Knit and Stitch” Group continue to produce jumpers, hats, blankets and other garments for needy children throughout the world. Their latest batch of products was sent to a crèche in the province of Eastern Cape in South Africa. This region is situated on the south-eastern tip of the continent of Africa, and was the birthplace of Nelson Mandela. The above photograph is of the crèche staff and young helpers, and the one below is of one of the babies in the crèche.

Good Works

Currently there are six regular members of the Knit & Stitch Group; they are: Mary Burton, Maureen George, Pam Hails, Valerie Morgan, Jean Smith, and Rosemary Woodroffe. In addition, other ladies attend from time to time. New members are always welcome.
If you would like to join this group, have a word with Mary Burton, or, Maureen George. The group meets every Thursday afternoon at different venues, in the home of one of the members.

Just to remind readers that the latest edition of this free quarterly publication, for February/March/April, is still available in church. If you have not yet tried reading “Word for Today”, it can be recommended for providing an informal approach into a greater appreciation of Christian teaching. Pick up a copy when you are next in church.
