Parish Jottings - February 2014

Mill Meadows, Henley-on-Thames, January 2014
Mill Meadows, Henley-on-Thames, January 2014

The lower part of the parish was standing in water after the river Thames overflowed its banks and turned Mill Meadows into a vast duck pond. Fortunately no house in Henley was flooded, but sandbags were standing by. Meadow Road and the River and Rowing Museum were also flooded. The recent flooding is the result of what has seemed to be endless rain over the past many months.
