Holy Trinity Parish Flooding

The southern extremity of our parish has suffered flooding over the past weeks. The towpath from Hobbs’ boatyard to beyond Mill Meadows has been under water, and walking along it has not been possible. This year, February saw some of the heaviest rainfall on record fall on Henley.

Trinity at Four on the move

The Trinity at Four Sunday afternoon service is to move its venue to Christ Church in Reading Road, Henley, where more space is available for its growing congregation. Some 70 adults and 40 children now attend the service, and the numbers continue to increase. There are five age groups of children provided for, each needing a separate space for their various activities.

Trinity at Four, launched in 2018, is a church for modern families, and has proved to be a successful and growing enterprise under the leadership of The Reverend Sam Brewster, the Minister for Trinity at Four.

Coronavirus (Covid-19)

The Church of England recently released good practice guidance for churches in respect of the coronavirus outbreak. The guidance reiterates the current government advice issued on 4th March, that individuals should follow good hygiene practices, including carrying tissues and using them to catch coughs and sneezes, and then binning the tissue. Hands should be washed using soap and water (for 20 seconds), or use sanitiser gel if washing facilities are not to hand. Watch out for advice updates.
