Spring Fair

Spring Fair

Holy Trinity church was the scene of a "Spring Fair" on Saturday morning, 26th April. As luck would have it the weather was inclement. Therefore, instead of being able to hold the Fair in the churchyard as planned, it was held in the church nave. However, one hardy stallholder braved the weather between showers and erected a table outside the north entrance. This attracted attention from passers-by on Greys Hill who, on seeing the sales table full of home produced marmalade, jams and tempting cakes, took the opportunity to purchase some of the delectable goods on offer. Inside the church the various sales tables were arranged around the south side of the nave and refreshments were served from the kitchen.

At the last count it was found that a total of £171.95 was raised for church funds. This was an excellent result and had it been a bright sunny day, the total could have been even higher. The Fair was the idea of P. C. C. member Sarah Cook who organised the event. We thank Sarah for her inspiration and give thanks to all who helped in any way with the holding of the Fair.
