The Collect Almighty and everlasting God, you have given us your servants grace, by the confession of a true faith, to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity and in the power of the divine majesty to worship the Unity: keep us steadfast in this faith, that we may evermore be defended from all adversities; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Isaiah 40:12-17, 27-31

      ¹²Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand,
      or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens?
      Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket,
      or weighed the mountains on the scales
      and the hills in a balance?

        ¹³Who has understood the mind of the LORD,
        or instructed him as his counselor?

      ¹⁴Whom did the LORD consult to enlighten him,
      and who taught him the right way?
      Who was it that taught him knowledge
      or showed him the path of understanding?

      ¹⁵Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket;
      they are regarded as dust on the scales;

      and young men stumble and fall;

      but those who hope in the LORD
      will renew their strength.
      They will soar on wings like eagles;
      they will run and not grow weary,

     ¹¹Finally, brothers, good-by. Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.
