Many Thanks
Many thanks to Ian Forster, Richard Morgan (and others?) for fitting new notice boards in the church porch. Did you notice as you came in?
Ian also coordinated the planting of the flower beds outside the church with the assistance you the young people in our childrens' classes. Thank you to all involved.
Trinity Church Website
Welcome to Holy Trinity On-line's new location. The site has now entered the world of Javascript to mark its 2nd birthday on the 12th of May 2006 and entered the world of .php and Flash to mark it's 3rd birthday and 12th May 2007 and included an enquiry form to mark its 4th birthday on the 12th May 2008.
If anyone has photographs of church events which could go on our website, http://www.holytrinityhenley.org.uk, please see Richard Young. Also, if there are chruch groups not mentioned on the site, if someone would do a breif wrtie-up and give it to Richard, he will include it.
The photo galley for the church has been uploaded and can be view as a silde show. More will follow shortly.
A hit counter was uploaded on 6th December 2006, St.Nicholas' Day which reported 1,000 in nine months but had now been replaced by Google Analystics that is mointering website traffic since the 4th of January 2008. A report in that will be available shortly.
Home Groups
Our Home Groups is a New Discipleship Explored, an exploration of Paul's letter to the Philippians; starting with a meal. Would you like to join a group for support, Bible study and prayer? Let Duncan know if you can come
A further Home Group meets on Mondays at 8pm for bible study and prayer. It normally meets at 126 St. Andrew's Road, although sometimes changes venues so please contact Jenny Griffin on 579865 for further details.
No Pressure is a group for young teenagers at the Vicarage that meets on Tuesdays at 6:00pm but are taking a break this week.
Henley Royal Regatta
Henely Royal Regatta is running from the 2nd until the 6th of July. The Festival following in the next week. For information about the Henley Royal Regatta visit Henley on the Web.
Mini Chimes
A new gathering Mini Chimes launched last week. It is aimed at parents with young children gathering for refreshments, songs, story and prayer in an informal setting. Two further dates have been booked: Friday 11th July 10:30am - noon and Monday 14th July 10:30am - noon. See Charlotte Miles-Kingston, for details.
Regular Church Groups and Activities
There are Home Groups on Tuesdays at 8pm at the Vicarage and on Wednesdays at 10:00am at Mike Hail's house, 42 Blandy Road.
Chimes, for 7 - 11 year olds, meets on Wednesday evenings at 6pm in the Parish Room.
On Monday evenings there is a short Prayer Meeting, for any who like to come, at 63 Ancastle Green at 6pm.
And our Baby & Toddlers' Service is being held monthly on a Friday at 12:15pm.
Please remember all these activities in your prayers this week, for the leaders and for all those who attend.
Womens' Night Out
The next Womens' Night Out will be on Tuesday the 8th of July at the Catherine Wheel at 7:30pm. Please see the notice board for more details.
Chimes Concert
On Wednesday the 9th of July the Chimes Concert will be held in the church. All are welcome! Please come along.
PCC Meeting
The next meeting of the Parochial Church Council will be on Thursday the 10th of July at 8pm. We appolgies for this clashing with the Henley Festival please let Duncan know if you are unable to attend.
Coffee Morning
The first of our 'Drop-in Wednesdays' saw about ten people join Valerie for a cup of coffee and cake in the Parish Room. At the moment we are planning this to be a bi-weekly event. Come and join the next one! Any time between 10am and 12 noon or there abouts.
There is a rota if you could volunteer to help on one Wednesday or bake a cake for the occasion.
Yeldall Manor Open Day
Yeldall Manor a Christian Rehabilitation Centre located off the A4 near Twyford are holding an Open Day on Saturday 12th of July from 3pm until 7pm.
Church Barbeque
There will be a Church Barbeque on Saturday the 12th of July. at the Vicarage at 6:30pm. Bring a friend! Please sign the form in the church with how many you plan to bring along so we know how many to cater for.
Christ Chruch Centenary
On Friday the 18th of July Christ Chruch are celebrating their Centenary! There will be an eveing barbecue. The celebrations will continue on Sunday the 20th of July when Rev. Nigel Uden, Morderator of the Southern Synod will be a guest preacher st the Sunday service.
Sound Force Big Band
A concet by the 'Sound Force Big Band' is at 7:30pm at Christ Church on Saturday the 19th July. Reserve you tickets early.
Trip to the Holy Land
We are planning a trip to the Holy Land from the 11th to the 18th May, 2009. We will need to make a provisional booking by mid July. A rough outline of what we might do is available. Have you ever thought of joining a group to see the Bible Land? People are confirming their interest does this appeal to you? Please see our vicar, Duncan for more information. Did your know our Website is now three years old?
A "Frequently Asked Questions" sections have been added - so if you have any questions you feel people accessing the website will be looking to answer please submit them, and if you know the answers to any of the questions please pass the knowledge on.
Also if you speak any foreign language please see Richard as the website caters for multiple languages and he would like confirmation of the translations.
Many thanks to Richard Young for all the hard work in keeping the website up to date. If you haven't had a complete look round yet please do so; you will be surprised how much there is no know about us.

If you have internet access, check our the new address of our church's website, www.holytrinityhenley.org.uk. There are lots of useful links as well as a photo library. If anyone has any photographs of church events that could go on the website, please speak to Richard Young - they don't have to be digital, he can scan in prints.
Please let Richard know what changes you would like him to make, and what you would like to see on the website.
We hope you will enjoy a time of worship that will encourage, challenge and inspire you, and that you will be able to join us with the time of fellowship at the back of the church afterwards. Coffee, squash and biscuits will be served.
We do not pass around the collection plate but there is a plate by the door in which contributions to the mission and upkeep of the church may be placed.
